At the foot of Les Alpilles, there are many orchards. An old apple orchard, where the trunks of small trees are slightly tilted due to the Mistral, and the branches are twisted under the weight of the harvest. This is the very moment when the fruit urgently needs to be harvested. Bright light and richly coloured sky - a hot Provencal day is accompanied by a light breeze and the movement of leaves. A state of peace and anticipation.
The work was created after a sketch made from life in August 2015. The use of classic French oil paints allowed to work with multiple layers while maintaining the brightness of colours and shades.

"LE VERGER DE POMMIERS. MOLLÉGES" was selected for the “French Artists” section (Salon des Artistes Français) of the Salon Art Capital 2023 in Paris.
